The Charm of Hotel & Resorts WAKAYAMA-KUSHIMOTO
Feast for the Eyes
Beautiful scenery, and delicious meals: Hotel & Resorts WAKAYAMA-KUSHIMOTO offers both. Admiring the sunset while taking a relaxing dip in the hot water of the open-air rock bath is very popular with visitors.
For those interested in sightseeing, and important world-heritage sites in Japan, the Kumano temples are also accessible from the hotel. You can also find beaches conveniently close to the hotel, and there are opportunities to try water sports and fishing. Immerse yourself in the Wakayama resort-feeling!
The Delicacies of Kushimoto
The Kushimoto area is very famous for the bluefin tuna that is cultivated in the area. Often used in sushi, you can try how delicious it tastes for yourself. Another one of Kushimoto’s delicacies is the Kumano cattle. Don’t miss to try the special product of Wakayama Prefecture, the Kizanji-miso. It is rice with green tea and sesame seeds on top. Another recommended meal available at our breakfast buffet is rice with nantan tea poured on top. As the buffet offers various Japanese and Western dishes, you will surely find something to your liking!
The Kumano Nada offers traditional Japanese dishes for dinner. Soleil is open for breakfast (buffet style), lunch and dinner mainly offering French cuisine. You can enjoy the breath-taking view of the Pacific Ocean from the restaurant.
You can find more detailed information on restaurants and food under the "Where to Eat" option of the Local Tips menu.
Japanese Onsen Experience
The hotel’s gorgeous open-air rock bath is sourced by the onsen called Kuroshio no Yu. It is recommended to at least try to watch the sunrise from this bath once. Kuroshio no Yu also provides the source for the indoors public bath. Springing out in 1992, it was established as a local attraction.
There is also a Sauna established in the public bath area for you to enjoy.
A Resort Ceremony
Hotel & Resorts WAKAYAMA KUSHIMOTO offers several venues for your dream wedding. Have an intimate ceremony in the bright chapel “Du Palette,” or switch to a grand venue in the Royal Hall instead. The room “Hibiscus” has a lovely view of the Pacific Ocean.
