The Land of Forests (Mori no Kuni) offers nature-based activities, where you can interact with nature in various ways. Apart from guided tours, tree climbing, waterfall-shower climbing in the summer, and snowshoeing in the winter, you can also try arts and crafts using natural materials. Barbecue sites are available on site, as well as a harvest-experience in harvesting season. In addition, you can try one of the largest playgrounds in Western Japan, including an obstacle course, the "green slider" and a mini-golf site.

This is an animal farm where you can meet all sorts of animals, including alpaca, kangaroos, pigs, guinea pigs, goats and many more! Interact with animals you would not normally meet during your everyday life, and enjoy a pony ride! Indoor and outdoor barbecue is also available on site.

You can enjoy horseback riding here - it is possible to try even for beginners! Apart from horseback-riding, it is also possible to meet horses and other animals up-close for a feeding or petting experience.

This is a dairy farm at the foot of Daisen mountain. The place is free to visit, and apart from exploring the ranch, you can also try delicacies made here, such as the farm's very own soft-cream. What is more, you can try making the soft-cream yourself, as well as try your hands at butter making! For those who are looking for a culinary experience, the farm's own barbecue cabin offers local beef, and there is a restaurant on site with food using the local milk and dairy products.

This is a road named after the manga artist Mizuki Shigeru in his hometown. In this arcade, you can find over 150 statues representing characters from Mizuki's works, which are also lit up at night. In addition, you can find a shrine here where you can draw fortune slips.

Izumo is also known as the Province of Gods, a place closely connected to Japan's mythology and legends. This grand shrine is considered a national treasure, as it is said that the gods decide on the marriages, births, and deaths of next year at this place. Visit this shrine and enjoy the sacred atmosphere all around!

The Adachi Museum of art is a showcase of beautiful Japanese art, mainly centring on the works of Yokoyama Taikan. In addition, the founder, Adachi Zenko made it his mission not only to transmit the beauty in Yokoyama's art, but the style of the Japanese gardens as well. This museum is a wonderful display of 19th and early 20th century Japanese art styles, and is recommended to everyone who would like to experience Japanese culture in depth.
